This blog will be used while Proboscis are working on their project set in Sutton-in-the-Isle, Cambridgeshire, UK. At the moment we are still figuring out what this project will be exactly.. so we’ve made a start by getting to know something about Sutton and the people who live there. Recently Orlagh, Alice and I all made separate trips to the village during Feast Week 2008. We’ll post some pictures and write about our time there soon..

Fun to see pix of our family garden, we are glad it was enjoyed. Right now (early March) it is unattractively sad, windswept, waterlogged, partly flooded, and wintry.
We have no plans to open publicly this year but we would enjoy anyone having a walk around while we are home, and Rod usually is, having now reached the magical finishing line of 65 last month.
Do divert from the popular sunny Sunday Bury Lane/Sutton Gault perambulation and see if anything is flowering. All down to Nicky’s efforts really of course, I am the grass cutter and compost man.
I would contribute more to this site, where do I submit offerings?
Rod
Hi Rod,
I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the pics of your garden. I thought it was really looking beautiful when I visited last summer, I had a great time looking round it.
It would be fantastic if you wanted to contribute more to the site. Send stories or photos of your experiences of Sutton to stories@suttongrapevine.org and I’ll make sure they’re added to the site.
Thanks for your interest,
Karen

Great pictures. Sutton is a fine place to live. Good luck with the project.
